February 21st

Spanish II – Quiz on 2:1.  Watch Argentina powerpoint and take notes.

Spanish I – Introduce the verb estar on page 115.  Do Act 6 and 8 on pp 116-117.  Take notes on the Sun Stone on page 116.  Introduce the verb ir and practice with activities 13-14 on page 121.  Take notes on Frida Kahlo on page 122..  Assign Activities 23 and 5 on pages 130-131.

February 20th

Spanish II – Their test was postponed until Tuesday.  They did an -ir preterite verb conjugation practice (see me for worksheet) and a vocabulary sheet for Unit 2 Lesson 2.

Spanish I – Introduced new vocabulary and did workbook pages 73-75.

February 16th

Spanish I – Quiz and vocabulary activity.  notes on Mexico.

Spanish II – Review for Monday quiz. It will cover vocabulary, -er and -ir preterite verb conjugations, culture.  It will be matching, fill in the blanks, and true/false.  School is only half a day tomorrow and I will only have second block’s Spanish II so I am holding the test until Monday..

FEBRUARY 15TH

Spanish I – Review for quiz on Thursday.  Watch Diego Rivera video.  Watch Mexico powerpoint and take notes.

Spanish II – Reviewed demonstrative adjectives and pronouns, assigned workbook pages 56(1-2), 57(1), 58(1-2), 64 (Comprendiste), 70-72 1-2).  We will be having a quiz on Friday.

spanish I – Review, Assign Activities 2-5 on page 106,107 and workbook pages 64-66 (Comprendiste), 70-72 (1-2).  There will be no test on Wednesday.  The test will be Thursday.

Spanish II – Review up to demonstratives.  do workbook pages 50-51 (1-2) and 53-54 (1-2)

February 13th

Spanish I – Review Lesson to date.  Introduce -ar verb conjugations  from page 96.  Do activities 11-12 in class.  Give students 10 additional -ar verbs to practice on for homework:  tocar, mirar, usar, escuchar, regatear, alquilar, montar, patinar, estudiar, llamar.    Discuss Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo (take notes).    Do corresponding workbook pages from workbook.

Spanish II – Take Unit 1:2 quiz, do vocabulary worksheet, and then introduce Argentina and take notes on country for portfolio.

February 9th

Spanish I – quiz, vocabulary sheet, and then work on numbers, clock and time activities (2 worksheets).

Spanish II – Introduce review of preterite tenses for ir, ser, hacer, ver, and dar, conjugate -ar verbs in preterite. Do workbook pages 30-32 (parts 1-2).  Do pages 38 and 40 (Comprendiste).

All classes – I was out today and they watched an A & E video on Evita (Eva Peron) from Argentina.
